Renovation is the most unpredictable work we do, so we survey harder before we price. Opening up a Victorian property nearly always finds something - failed lintels, notched joists, cloth-covered wiring - and the difference between a smooth project and a painful one is whether that was anticipated.

We carry out full house refurbishments, structural alterations, rewiring and replumbing, damp and timber treatment, and sympathetic restoration of period features.

Period property experience

Old buildings need to breathe. We use lime plasters and breathable finishes where the construction demands it rather than sealing a solid wall in gypsum and cement and creating a damp problem two winters later.
