Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2026
This policy explains how CJX Construction collects, uses and protects the personal information you provide through this website. We are the data controller for that information.
Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us, together with limited technical data needed to keep the site secure and working properly:
- Enquiry and quote forms: your name, email address, telephone number, project location, budget range, preferred dates and anything you write in the message field.
- Quote attachments: drawings, plans or photographs you upload in support of a quote request.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, used to prevent abuse of our forms and to understand which pages are useful.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare and issue a quotation, deliver work you have instructed us to carry out, and keep records required for tax, insurance and construction compliance purposes. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.
Lawful basis
We process enquiry and quote data on the basis of taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a construction business and maintaining accurate project records.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are retained for 24 months. Records relating to projects we have carried out are retained for a minimum of six years, in line with the Limitation Act 1980 and our insurance obligations.
Your rights
You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to object to processing, and in certain circumstances to request erasure. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details on this website. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
